My Story
My book started from a dream! In 2005, I had several nights of dreaming about two of my main characters. I knew their names and how their story began.
While my three young children were at elementary and preschool, I spent a few hours a day writing (typing) my character's story. I didn’t tell a soul. I felt guilty for spending time writing instead of taking care of the many other “chores” that needed my attention.
One morning after getting the kids off to school, I sat down at my computer excited to continue my character’s story. I hit the power button, and nothing happened. No lights. No sound. Nothing. The computer died taking with it my first twenty-five pages. I foolishly did not save my file to a floppy disk, only to the hard drive.
I took this as a sign that I was not meant to write a book. I clearly remember the day my husband and I took a few electronics to a local recycling drive. I wanted to cry as the CPU unit and my story was placed in a pile of “junk.” My husband, at the time, still was unaware of my writing and my heartbreak.
Fast forward to 2019, my kids were grown, and the desire to write my characters story returned. Now, twenty years later, I can share my book with the world.

K. S. Lynn lives in Upstate New York married to her high school sweetheart of forty-one years and their rescue Labrador mix, Bailey. Their three adult children are a source of inspiration, pride, and joy. She enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and losing herself in a good book.
A Thousand More, her debut novel, was born from a dream in 2005. While her three young children attended elementary and preschool, she spent a few hours a day writing a story that ultimately was lost to the demise of her hard drive.
Losing the first twenty-five pages made her believe she wasn’t meant to write a novel. She abandoned the story until 2019, when her desire to write returned. Twenty years later, 2025, her fictional characters’ stories are finally being told.
